ONE OF THREE CHARGED WITH MURDER IN HOME INVASION

PLEADS GUILTY

One of three people charged with murder in connection with an alleged burglary has pleaded guilty.

Keione Clark (dob: 07-29-1998) pleaded guilty yesterday to one count of second degree murder (F2).  He is scheduled to be sentenced on November 2.  He was charged with felony murder (F1) in May 2017.

Co-defendant Demond Hamilton (dob: 06-01-1996), also charged last May with felony murder (F1), is currently scheduled for jury trial in October.

Co-defendant DMarco Blake (dob: 09-22-1999), charged as an adult in District Court with one count of murder in the first degree-after deliberation (F1), and one count of felony murder (F1), was arrested in California last May on a warrant issued for his arrest in connection with the Denver charges filed against him.  He is being prosecuted by California authorities on charges unrelated to the alleged Denver crimes.  It is not known when he might be extradited.

Clark pleaded guilty to, and Hamilton and Blake remain suspects in, the May 16, 2017, death of 27-year-old Timothy Anderson, who was killed in his home in the 3900 block of S. Spruce Street that the defendants were allegedly burglarizing.

A fourth individual connected to the Spruce Street crimes, a 15-year-old female juvenile, pleaded guilty in March to the original count of accessory to crime (F4), to one count of aggravated robbery-deadly weapon (F3), and to one count of aggravated juvenile offender (sentence enhancer).  Sentencing is scheduled for July 16.
