Prosecutors Charge Two Men in Connection with Murder Outside Denver Aquarium

DENVER – Denver District Attorney Beth McCann today announced that 19 year-old Antonio Vasquez and 17 year-old Jason Trujillo, Jr., have been charged with first degree murder in connection with a shooting outside the Denver Aquarium.

On February 14, 2024, it is alleged that Vasquez and Trujillo shot 19 year-old Dacien Salazar.  Mr. Salazar was taken to the hospital, where he died.

Both Vasquez and Trujillo are being tried as adults.  Bond has been set for each of them at one-million dollars, cash only.
