Trevondus Estes Sentenced for Crimes Against Massage Business Workers

DENVER — Denver District Attorney John Walsh has announced that Trevondus Estes was sentenced today to 30 years in prison after pleading guilty on January 12 to one count of kidnapping and one count of attempted sexual assault.

Estes had been charged with robbing and sexually assaulting several women who were working in massage businesses in Denver and Lakewood in 2020.

“Trevondus Estes viciously preyed on innocent women who were simply doing their jobs and were profoundly affected by these terrible crimes – we hope that this heavy sentence will bring them some comfort and a sense of justice,” said DA Walsh.  “I want to thank the prosecutors, investigators and victim advocates in my office, as well as the detectives with the Denver Police Department’s Sex Crimes and Robbery Units, whose outstanding work resulted in the successful resolution of this case.”

Chief Deputy District Attorney Courtney Johnston and Blake Harrison led the Denver DA’s prosecution team, which also included Investigator Buddy Grinstead, Victim Advocates Kiersten Sherman and Chelsea Spears, and Paralegal Tanya Harris.
