Denver DA Charges Edward Sandoval in Mother’s Day Homicide
DENVER—An altercation on Mother’s Day resulted in the shooting death of Dennis Lozoya (age 38) for which Denver District Attorney Beth McCann yesterday filed charges against Edward Sandoval (age 20). The incident occurred in the 5400 block of N. Odessa Street that Sunday evening.
Witnesses reported seeing Sandoval with a rifle prior to the shooting as well as seeing him flee immediately after the incident. Sandoval turned himself in to Denver Police the following day and he was arrested. He is now charged with one count of murder in the first degree (F1) and his case number is 20CR02989.
